These Muay Thai shin guards are quite popular and make for a nice alternative to the SP7 shin guards which have the detachable foot guard.
The SP5 model incorporates an open system between the shin and the foot protector, which makes it a bit more comfortable.
There are no metal loops on the enclosure of these, making them suitable for amateur competitions.
Of course, in professional Muay Thai competition you wouldn’t be wearing shin guards at all.
These shin guards are constructed using Fairtex’s Syntek leather, and each pair are handcrafted in Thailand.
All material in contact within the skin, whether it be the inside of the shin & foot guard or the enclosure at the back, has been selected for comfort and to avoid irritation.
